How owners use HR
A tuition centre with tutors
Tutors apply for annual or emergency leave, and the owner sees it alongside Malaysian public holidays before planning the class timetable. A new tutor goes through the onboarding checklist, so the first week has clear steps.
A contractor with a small site team
Worker details sit in one staff file instead of loose papers. The owner can ask Hana who is off this week before assigning jobs. A team that needs clock in and clock out can add Shift & Attendance, a RM16 a month add-on.

HR questions
Is HR on Free or Basic?
No. HR is not on Free or Basic. It unlocks on Solo (RM79 a month) and is included on Micro and Small. Solo has a 30-day trial.
Does HR run payroll or file EPF and SOCSO?
The HR module is not payroll software and does not file with KWSP or PERKESO. A separate Malaysian Statutory Payroll add-on (RM16 a month) calculates EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and zakat from employee profiles. Filing and paying the agencies is still done by you.
What does Hana do in HR?
Hana works from staff files and leave records. She helps apply or approve AL, EL and MC, flags Malaysian public holidays, keeps the onboarding checklist visible and answers questions like who is off this week. Each ask uses credits. At zero credits she pauses, and staff files stay in place.
Can staff apply for leave themselves?
The Staff Self-Service Portal add-on (RM9 a month) lets staff log in to view their leave balance and apply for leave. Without it, the owner records leave on the staff file and approves or rejects it.
